ACME Baseball Handbook

ARTICLE I Name and Purpose

Sec. 1 This organization shall be known as "ACME Baseball Congress, Inc." and shall not be known as being affiliated with any other league or organization or youth movement in the United States by the same name or otherwise.

Sec. 2 The purpose of this organization shall be to promote, govern and conduct non-professional baseball for high schools under the National Federation of State High School Athletic Associations.

Sec. 3 The playing rules governing the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. shall be the same adopted by the National Federation of High School Athletic Associations. Any stated rule changes shall be so stipulated in this handbook.

ARTICLE II Officers

Sec. 1 The officers of the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. shall be the Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Secretary, Treasurer, and the Director of Umpires. All such Officers will have full voting privileges.

Sec. 2 The Commissioner is empowered to govern and rule, or veto, on all matters pertaining to the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. Commissioner will be responsible for notifying all officers and board members of all meetings. The Commissioners office shall be permanent and held until death or resignation. A replacement must have two-thirds majority vote of the remaining members of the Board.

Sec. 3 The Assistant Commissioner shall assist the Commissioner in all duties and preside at all meetings in the absence of the Commissioner, Secretary, or Treasurer. The office shall be held for a term of two years. They shall gain office by a two-thirds majority vote by the members of the board.

The Assistant Commissioner shall be responsible for all duties related to the Hall of Fame and Lifetime Achievement Award nominations, selections and Induction Ceremony.

Sec. 4 The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all meetings and records of the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc.

They shall maintain tracking and records of all team official eligibility/applications each year on file. In case of their absence from any meeting and are responsible for providing the Treasurer with their books and all reports as necessary.

Sec. 5 The Treasurer shall receive and bank all moneys and keep an accurate account of same along with all official business. They shall present a financial report at each meeting in writing to the Board of Directors. All funds shall be expended by check signed by the Treasurer and countersigned by the Commissioner. No moneys shall be expended, or bills contracted, in the name of ACME Baseball Congress, Inc., by anyone without authorization, in writing, from the Board of Directors with the approval of the Commissioner. They shall be bonded within thirty days following there election and must show proof. In case of their absence from any meeting, they are responsible for providing the Secretary with their books and all reports as necessary. They shall gain office by a two-thirds majority vote by the members of the board.

Sec. 6 The Director of Umpires shall be responsible for the interpretation of the baseball playing rules. They shall appoint umpires for the ACME State and Junior ACME State tournament with recommendations presented from each District Commissioner. The Director of Umpires office shall be permanent and held until death or resignation. A replacement will be appointed by the Commissioner with two-thirds majority vote of the remaining members of the Board.

ARTICLE III Board of Directors

Sec. 1 There shall consist of no less than seven and no more than nine (7-9) Board of Directors to be appointed by the Commissioner and ratified by the remaining board members to serve a two-year term. Their duties will be to attend all regular and special meetings to promote the welfare and management of the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. All members of said Board of Directors will have full voting privileges.

Sec. 2 The aforesaid officers and Board of Directors shall be the ruling body for the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. with full voting rights. They will be entitled to all ACME sponsored games or tournaments at no charge.

Sec. 3 Any Officer or Board of Director may be relieved of his duties by filing a letter of resignation to the Commissioner. Also, any member may be relieved of their duties for failure to attend three consecutive meetings without notification to the Commissioner.

Sec. 4 The Board of Directors shall rule on all matters of eligibility, grievances, suspensions and interpretation of rules and the board's decision shall be final.

Sec.5 The Board of Directors will annually decide alignment of State Districts based upon number of teams, and/or expansion needs.

ARTICLE IV District Commissioners

Sec. 1 District Commissioners shall be appointed by the Commissioner of ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. Their term shall be held for two years.

Sec. 2 District Commissioner shall promote ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. in their respective district

That has been are derived by ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. They shall also follow-up on all new contacts in their district that may be given them by ACME Baseball Congress, Inc.

Sec. 3 District Commissioners shall conduct a district meeting each year with team managers prior to March 1 in order to facilitate the April 1 ACME and May 1 {2022 Revision} Jr. ACME Registration deadlines. This will be to promote the program, organize tournament play and allow for scheduling and ACME handbook interpretation guidelines.

Sec. 4 District Commissioners are responsible for regulating an ACME Sectional tournament, an ACME and Jr. ACME District tournament within their respective District accordingly to specified dates in Article VIII Sec. 6 & Article IX Sec. 5 by ACME Baseball Congress, Inc.

Sec. 5 District Commissioners shall attend at least one meeting of ACME Baseball Congress of each year. District Commissioners are encouraged to attend all meetings of ACME Baseball Congress of each year. {2022 Revision}

Sec. 6 District Commissioner will ensure that all team managers in their respective districts shall provide to the Secretary all ACME (by April 1) and Junior Acme (by May 1 {2022 Revision}) Team Application/Registration Forms and corresponding Official Eligibility Certificate/Rosters by June 1st of each given year. These forms are emailed to District Commissioners and are also available on the ACME Baseball Congress Website.

Sec. 7 District Commissioner will provide to the ACME Baseball Commissioner a District Supply Order Form by February 1st of each given year. The form is available on the ACME Baseball Congress Website.

Sec. 8 District Commissioner will provide the ACME Baseball Congress Commissioner with copies of Sectional and District Tournament Brackets by June 15th of each given year.

Sec. 9 District Commissioner shall provide four OHSAA licensed umpire recommendations by June 1st to the ACME Baseball Congress Director of Umpires for consideration at ACME State and Jr. ACME State Tournaments. The forms are available on the ACME Baseball Congress Website.

Sec.10 District Commissioner may be relieved of his duties by filing a letter of resignation to the Commissioner. They may also be relieved of their duties for failure to follow any and all guidelines of ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. or by promoting ACME Baseball in a defamatory manner.

Sec.11 Under the guidelines of ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. the District Commissioner shall create ACME sectional and district tournament brackets.

Sec.12 District Commissioners are required to obtain and keep up to date records of all pertinent data in regards to teams within their respective district. Team Managers are responsible for submitting the Official Eligibility Certificate/Rosters hereafter referred to as “Team Rosters” to the ACME Secretary.

Sec.13 Any fighting or striking of, or by, an official, player, manager or coach will be penalized by the District Commissioner. Any umpire responsible for such action will be reported to the Director of Umpires in a written report by the District Commissioner.

Sec.14 District Commissioner will be responsible for assigning Sectional and/or District Tournament Directors. These individuals report directly to the District Commissioner.

Sec.15 District Commissioner will be responsible for providing OHSAA registered umpires, prior to tournament games, with ACME Baseball Congress general playing rules and tournament rules for those that may be unfamiliar with these.

Sec.16 At the discretion of the District Commissioner, shall appoint an Assistant Commissioner. They will report directly to the District Commissioner.

Sec. 17 District Commissioners will be responsible for making sure that each team in their respective districts has submitted their Official Team Rosters to the ACME Secretary by June 1st.

Sec. 18 District Commissioners will be responsible for each team’s submission of their respective tournament roster to their Sectional and District Tournament Director prior to any Sectional or District play.

Sec. 19 District Commissioner will be responsible for their District Winner to submit State Tournament Roster and related forms and information in to State ACME Commissioner 2 days prior to start of State ACME Tournament.

ARTICLE V Team Membership

Sec. 1 An annual membership fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) {2022 Revision} shall be paid by each team to be affiliated with the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. These fees are to be paid with the Team Application/Registration Form to the Secretary by April 1 for ACME Teams and May 1st {2022 Revision} for Junior ACME Teams of given year. If fee deadlines are not met teams are not eligible for post-season tournament play until the succeeding year at which time they may register. All fees are non-refundable.

Sec. 2 Each official team representative shall submit an Official Team Roster to the ACME Secretary no later than June 1st of each given year that includes players eligibility certificate (Not to exceed 40 players) which they desire to have certified as members of this team. This certificate must be signed by a school principal or Athletic Director to be valid. Failure to comply will result in the team being put on an ineligibility list, and all games played being forfeited until Certificate/Application, and fee are received. No Official Team Roster may be changed after the June 1st deadline for regular season play, tournament or otherwise without written permission of the Commissioner.

(a)All submitted Team Rosters may be verified by the ACME Board of Directors at any

            time.

            (b)Any team that falsifies player eligibility will forfeit any and all games that  

            Player participated.

Sec. 3 Each team is required to have a competent adult who shall be the manager and is responsible for the team and its activities. A manager may appoint any coach they so desire, so long as they uphold the respect and rules of ACME Baseball Congress. Managers must be at least 19 years of age and out of school.

Sec. 4 Each team is responsible for acquiring its own sponsor. Also each team is responsible for its own travel expense, equipment and no sponsor may use any ACME baseball team, players, coaches, for promotional purposes for alcoholic beverages or tobacco, either directly or indirectly.

Sec. 5 Failure of a team to complete a 12-game schedule will result in suspension for a period of from one to two years from participation in any tournament affiliated under the sanction of the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. A team using either a manager or player who is on suspension shall forfeit its affiliation to the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. for an indefinite period.

Sec. 6 Any team participating in ACME baseball cannot begin play until the weekend of Memorial Day of each given year and after their respective high school season is complete.

Sec. 7 Each team manager will be responsible for providing their own risk and liability insurance.

ARTICLE VI Player Eligibility

Sec. 1 Any boy may play ACME or Jr. ACME baseball if he attends high school during the following year (See Article VI Sec. 6). Membership of each team shall be limited to bona fide residents of the school district that he attends. Player must play for the school he attends if it is out of his school district. Any boy may ask for special consideration as situation warrants, subject to Board of Directors approval on a yearly basis. The Board of Directors shall decide the eligibility and in-eligibility of all players. Home School, transfer students, and open enrollment students refer to The Ohio High School Athletic Association rule interpretation.

Sec. 2 The maximum age limit is eighteen years old. No boy is eligible for ACME or Jr. ACME participation if he reaches the age of nineteen years before August 1. Any team using ineligible players must forfeit the games such ineligible players participated in; such teams will receive disciplinary action from the Board of Directors.

Sec. 3 No boy will be ineligible for participation in the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc., due to his race, color, creed or religion.

Sec. 4 Un-sportsmanlike conduct on the part of any player will not be tolerated. Managers are responsible for the conduct of their team. District Commissioner and/or ACME Commissioner will take immediate action as necessary.

Sec.5 Incoming high school seniors are not eligible to play Jr. ACME.

Sec.6 All incoming Eighth graders, Freshmen and Sophomores can play both Jr. and Sr. ACME League and Tournaments without any restrictions. Incoming seventh graders that turn the age of 13 on or before July 31st are eligible for Jr. Acme. Junior ACME teams may have no more than 4 incoming Juniors on their official tournament roster for each level of tournament play provided those players did not earn a varsity letter during their high school varsity baseball season.

ARTICLE VII General Playing Rules

Sec. 1 As stated in Article I Sec.3, The playing rules governing the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. shall be the same adopted by the National Federation of High School Athletic Associations. Any stated rule changes shall be so stipulated in this handbook.

Sec. 2 OHSAA Baseball adopted rules will apply with the following inclusions as set forth.

Sec. 3 Under no circumstances may a team change or modify any rule set forth by the ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. This also includes the written intent of the rule. If rule is not understood and needs clarification, coach or manager should contact their respective District Commissioner. If a team is found in violation, they shall be brought before the Board of Directors for disciplinary action.

Sec. 4 The duties and basic responsibilities of those playing and administering the game shall follow the Code of Ethics for Baseball which has been adopted by the ACME Baseball Congress from the National Federation of State High School Athletic Associations.

Sec. 5 The official ball shall be any ball that meets the specifications prescribed by the rules of baseball. The home team is responsible for furnishing enough top grade balls to complete the game without any unnecessary delay.

Sec. 6 Although suggested, it is not a requirement that all members of a team wear the same color and style of uniform. However, each team playing in ACME Baseball must wear a uniform of a type designed for baseball.

Sec. 7 All team members, managers, coaches and batboys or batgirls shall be in the uniform of the team while on the playing field. A scorekeeper may be in dress clothes but must remain in the dugout.

Sec. 8 The home team is responsible for securing umpires for regular season games. The home team will also be responsible for providing umpires prior to games with ACME Baseball general playing rules for those that may be unfamiliar with these. The plate umpire must be a registered OHSAA umpire. A non-registered umpire may work the bases. Only in an emergency may non-registered umpires be used to officiate regular season games. This pertains to when there is no registered umpire available. Both managers must then sign the score-book prior to the game to validate such an agreement. Suggested pay per umpire per game is $50.00.

Sec. 9 No more than 2 games shall be played by any one team in any one day for any ACME Baseball game. No Exceptions. Penalty is subject to Commissioner ruling. ACME Baseball is not responsible for any team playing in any non-sanctioned tournament.

Sec.10 Any team not reporting within fifteen minutes after a regularly scheduled time for a game shall forfeit the game to the team that has its full lineup on the field and ready to play.

Sec.11 Regular season games which are postponed shall be rescheduled at the earliest possible date by the two managers involved.

Sec.12 ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. shall have no inning start after 12:00 AM in the time zone in which the game is being played.

Sec.13 Pitching rule: Same as used by the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Pitching restrictions shall adhere to the following pitch/rest limitations:

a) A pitcher may finish the current batter if the daily pitch limit is reached during that at bat.

b.) If a pitcher pitches at least 31 pitches, he may NOT pitch in the second game of a double header (or the next day).

c.) All pitches thrown in a suspended game or a “no contest” game SHALL COUNT toward the daily pitch limit and the total number of pitches thrown.

d.) Each school/team must keep a record of all pitches thrown by each of their players in each game and make this available to ACME BASEBALL CONGRESS upon request.

e.) Any player pitching during a period in which rest is required is considered to be pitching as an ineligible player.

Note: Any victorious contest in which an ineligible player is participating will result in forfeiture of the contest

Sec.14 The use of profanity and/or any type of tobacco or drinking alcoholic beverages shall be prohibited at any ACME Baseball Congress affiliated games. There shall be no toleration of these infractions.

Sec.15 Any fighting or striking of, or by, an official, player, manager or coach will be penalized by the District Commissioner. Any umpire responsible for such action will be reported to the Director of Umpires in a written report by the District Commissioner.

Sec.16 Loose equipment such as bats, gloves, etc., of the team at bat shall not be left on the playing field. All equipment must be inside the dugout when not in use.

Sec.17 No protests allowed.

Sec.18 Under no condition shall any team member leave their position to protest a call. Penalty is prompt ejection from the game.

Sec.19 Teams will confine themselves at all times to their respective team bench, or dugout, unless actually participating in the game or preparing to enter play or coaching. No one except players, managers, coaches, scorekeepers, batboys or batgirls will occupy the bench, or dugout during a game.

Sec.20 All substitutions shall be made by the manager only to the plate umpire who will notify the official scorer of the game.

Sec.21 Rainouts & Darkness – Refer Directly to OHSAA rulings.

Sec.22 Any player/coach/team member that is ejected from any game, will be penalized per Ohio High School Athletic Association current year adoption for ejection of any coach/player/team member. Ejection shall be reported by team manager immediately to ACME Baseball Congress Director of Umpires.

ARTICLE VIII Sectional & District Tournament Play Rules (ACME)

The Following Rules are in addition to General Playing Rules

Sec.1 Tournament games shall have preference to regular season games. Any regular season game must be postponed if either team is scheduled to play in an ACME sanctioned tournament.

Sec.2 District Commissioners are responsible for regulating an ACME Sectional tournament, and ACME District tournament within his District. (Per Article IV Sec. 4)

ACME Sectional winners and runners-up will advance to the District tournament. ACME District winners will advance to the State tournament.

Sec. 3 ACME District tournaments must be concluded prior to the State tournament.

District Commissioners must submit within one (1) day after District finals are completed, verified and signed roster to the respective State Tournament officials and State ACME Commissioner.

Sec. 4 All Sectional and District tournaments MUST be Double Elimination. NO EXCEPTIONS! Elimination format of State ACME Tournament will be determined as per decision of the Board of Directors annually.

Sec. 5 All Sectional Final Tournament games must be played out complete unless weather permitting or approved by the ACME Board of Directors. If this rule is not followed, the team will go into the District with a forfeit.

Sec. 6 All Sectional and District tournament games will be scheduled according to the time frame approved annually by the Board of Directors. NO EXCEPTIONS! Disqualification will occur for teams playing outside these parameters.

Sec. 7 You may charge for admission to any and all Sectional and District games. The recommended charge is $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for youth.

Sec. 8 If any team forfeits a Sectional, District game, the team will be subject to ineligibility for tournament play the following year. This rule will be enforced by the District Commissioner and Board of Directors. A team can appeal this rule by attending a Board of Directors meeting or through representation of their District Commissioner.

Sec.9 Amount of time for infield practice for both teams shall be eight minutes. The home team shall be designated by the flip of a coin and take their infield first. Teams will leave the field at once when called to do so by the Tournament Manager.

Sec.10 Sectional/District tournament managers are responsible for assigning two OHSAA registered umpires for each game in the Sectional and District tournaments. Each participating team shall pay the fees of one umpire for each game at game time.

Sec.11 Any player/coach/team member that is ejected from any game will be penalized per Ohio High School Athletic Association current year adoption for ejection of any coach/player/team member. Ejection shall be reported by team manager immediately to ACME Baseball Congress Director of Umpires.

Sec. 12 Each team shall submit prior to the start of each the Sectional and District Tournament a Official

Tournament Roster (not to exceed 25 players from Official ACME Roster)

ARTICLE IX District Tournament Play Rules (Jr. ACME)

The Following Rules are in addition to General Playing Rules

Sec.1 Tournament games shall have preference to regular season games. Any regular season game must be postponed if either team is scheduled to play in a Jr. ACME sanctioned tournament.

Sec.2 District Commissioners are responsible for regulating a Jr. ACME District tournament within his District. (Per Article IV Sec. 4)

(a) Jr. ACME District winners will advance to the State tournament.

Sec. 3 Jr. ACME District tournaments must be concluded prior to the State tournament.

District Commissioners must submit within one (1) day after District finals are completed, verified and signed roster to the respective State Tournament officials.

Sec. 4 Elimination format of Jr. ACME Tournaments will be determined as per decision of the Board of

Directors annually.

Sec. 5 All District tournament games will use the Board of Directors mandated time frame to conduct their District games. NO EXCEPTIONS! Disqualification will occur for teams playing outside these parameters.

Sec. 6 You may charge for admission to any District games. The recommended charge is $4.00 for adults and $2.00 for youth.

Sec. 7 If any team forfeits a District game, the team will be automatically in-eligible for tournament play the following year. This rule will be enforced by the District Commissioner and Board of Directors. A team can appeal this rule by attending a Board of Directors meeting or through representation of their District Commissioner.

Sec. 8 Amount of time for infield practice for both teams shall be eight minutes. The home team shall be designated by the flip of a coin and take their infield first. Teams will leave the field at once when called to do so by the Tournament Manager.

ARTICLE X State Tournament Play Rules – Additional (ACME)

Sec. 1 If any team forfeits a State Tournament game, the team will be automatically ineligible for tournament play the following year. This rule will be enforced by the District Commissioner and Board of Directors. A team can appeal this rule by attending a Board of Directors meeting or through representation of their District Commissioner.

Sec.2 Amount of time for infield practice for both teams shall be eight minutes. The home team shall be designated by the flip of a coin and take their infield first. Teams will leave the field at once when called to do so by the Tournament Manager.

Sec.3 Starting line-ups must be in the hands of the official scorekeeper twenty (20) minutes prior to the start of any State tournament games.

Sec.4 Once Starting Lineups are delivered to the home plate umpire at pre-game conference, players are considered starters.

Sec.5 Umpires are assigned for the ACME State tournament by the Director of Umpires. Their fees are paid from the tournament receipts. The Director of Umpires will contact and schedule all umpires. The Director of Umpires will notify the Tournament host site for ACME State Tournament with names, phone numbers and game assignments. The cost will be $60.00 per umpire per game.

Sec.6 Financial arrangements for State tournaments will be voted each year through the Commissioner and Board of Directors of ACME Baseball Congress Inc.

Sec. 7 Each team shall submit prior to the start of the State Tournament an Official Tournament Roster (not to exceed 25 players from Official ACME Roster)

Sec. 8 All on-field coaches/personnel for each team at the State Tournament shall wear team uniform and pants. Informing and enforcing this provision shall be up to the State Host site coordinator and umpires.

ARTICLE XI Regional & State Tournament Play Rules – Additional (Jr ACME)

Sec. 1 If any team forfeits a Jr. ACME Regional or State Tournament game, the team will be automatically in-eligible for tournament play the following year. This rule will be enforced by the District Commissioner and Board of Directors. A team can appeal this rule by attending a Board of Directors meeting or through representation of their District Commissioner.

Sec.2 Amount of time for infield practice for both teams shall be eight minutes. The home team shall be designated by the flip of a coin and take their infield first. Teams will leave the field at once when called to do so by the Tournament Manager.

Sec. 8 All on-field coaches/personnel for each team at the State Tournament shall wear team uniform and pants. Informing and enforcing this provision shall be up to the State Host site coordinator and umpires.

Article XII Regional & State Tournament Guidelines

Sec. 1 Any baseball organization may apply in writing to the Commissioner of ACME Baseball their bid to host an ACME or Jr. ACME Regional or State Tournament by a December 31st deadline prior to each tournament year. Tournament bids will be reviewed and voted upon by majority vote of the Board of Directors. Host sites will be notified by the Commissioner of the decision after the January Board Meeting of each given year.

Sec. 2 ACME Board of Directors will determine the brackets and District pairings to be used for all State tournament play. Dates will be voted upon by the Board of Directors on a yearly basis. A copy of the tournament brackets for both ACME and Jr. ACME will be placed on the ACME Baseball Congress website annually. Host site must immediately notify the Commissioner, Secretary and Director of Umpires of any changes made to tournament times and/or dates..

Sec. 3 All tournament officials of the current year host site may be invited to a meeting of the Board of Directors to review and discuss all tournament information relevant to that host site.

Sec. 4 The following financial rules are to be followed by each host site for the ACME State and Jr. ACME Regional & State tournament.

(a) Daily Gate receipts will be kept for each day of the tournament.

            (b) Gate prices are:         Adults                $5.00

                                    Youth                $2.00

            (c) The Financial responsibility of host site will be as follows:

ACME Baseball Congress receives 50% of total gate receipts ACME Baseball Congress will provide 100% of umpire fees. Host Site receives 50% of total gate receipts.
Host Site will provide 0% of umpire fees.

Jr. ACME State

ACME Baseball Congress receives 0% of total gate receipts. ACME Baseball Congress shall receive $500.00 from Host Site prior to tournament. Host Site receives 100% of total gate receipts. ACME Baseball Congress will provide 100% of umpires fees.

(d) Any other monies generated from the tournament will remain with the Host site.

Sec. 5 Within one week of the conclusion of tournament, the host site will provide a complete and accurate financial report to be accompanied by a check for the financial portion to ACME Baseball Congress Inc.

Sec. 6 Responsibilities of Host Site:

Host site is responsible for supervising the playing field and keeping it in good playing Condition. Host site is responsible for the policing and welfare of the park. Host site is strongly encouraged to provide security for the duration of the tournament. In case of inclement weather host site shall notify the Commissioner, Director of Umpires, Managers of participating teams, local newspapers and radio station when games shall be cancelled. Host Site must be able to facilitate gate admission entrances. Host site carries all risk and liability insurance responsibilities

Sec. 7 ACME Baseball Congress will provide all baseballs, trophies, awards, and tournament form packet for Regional & State tournament.

Sec. 8 Regional & State Tournament Director will bring together both head coaches prior to game for the official coin toss to determine home or visiting team, home team will occupy 3rd base dugout.

Sec. 9 All players listed on Jr. ACME Tournament Roster will be eligible for Varsity State ACME tournament play only, so long as player is eligible under Article VI Sec. 1.

Article XIII Trophies, Awards, Baseballs

Sec. 1 Team awards will be presented to the winners in the ACME Sectional and District tournaments

and to the winners in the Jr. ACME District tournaments.

Sec. 2 Team awards will be presented to the winners and runners-up in the State tournaments of both ACME and Jr. ACME.

Sec. 3 Awards will be presented to ACME State Tournament All-Tournament Team Players. Most

Valuable Player Awards will be presented at both ACME and Jr. ACME State Tournaments as

        well.

Sec.4 Individual Awards will be given to each team member of the winning and runner-up teams at both ACME and Jr. ACME State Tournaments.

Sec.5 ACME Baseball Congress will provide baseballs for the following tournaments:

4 Dozen baseballs for each ACME District to be distributed by the District Commissioner as needed for all Sectional and District Tournament play. 2 Dozen baseballs for Jr. ACME State Tournament Host. All baseballs for all ACME State Tournament Games.

Article XIV ACME Baseball Congress Scholarship

Sec.1 ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. will provide scholarships to past players of the organization on a schedule determined by the Board of Directors. The ACME Board of Directors will decide the amount and number of scholarships.

Sec.2 Scholarships are given based upon recommendations from the District Commissioners and Coaches of the organization. District Commissioners will present recommendations to the Board of Directors. Various criteria will be considered for these scholarships. The ACME Board of Directors will make all final decisions.

Sec. 3 Scholarships are given to those players that have played at least one year of ACME baseball on a varsity level.

Article XV ACME Baseball Congress Hall of Fame

Sec.1 ACME Baseball Congress, Inc. will accept nominations each year for individuals to be considered for acceptance into the ACME Baseball Congress Hall of Fame. Nomination forms will be available on the ACME Baseball Congress Website or any ACME Baseball Congress Officer or Board of Director. Forms must be received by December 31 of each given year and mailed to the ACME Baseball Commissioner.

Sec.2 Individuals considered for the Hall of Fame will be former players, coaches, managers, or individuals that may have shown extraordinary service to ACME Baseball.

Sec.3 The ACME Baseball Commissioner will present all nomination forms to the ACME Board of Directors and officers at a regular scheduled meeting. Inductees will be decided by vote.

Sec.4 The recipient will be inducted and recognized at the ACME State Tournament. This on-field ceremony will be followed by a Hall-of-Fame Reception to honor new and existing Hall of Fame members. Details will be established annually by the ACME Board of Directors.

Sec. 5 ACME Baseball Congress shall designate the “Lifetime Achievement Award” to deserving persons following the same nomination process as the Hall of Fame. These persons shall be those worthy of recognition who have significantly contributed to the success of ACME Baseball.
